Cool, comfy couches in contemporary eco-linen by COUCH DESIGN….

An ethical business with a strong environmental conscience, their sofas and chairs are manufactured locally in the UK – design, comfort & quality are essential ingredients for a « slouch couch » to a more formal style. « We work with our suppliers to introduce sustainable, recycleable and environmentally friendly materials ». Ian Archer, Creative Director and Designer says « I love the look of linen when I wear it, so it follows that I’m going to love it on my furniture designs! The relaxed ‘drape’ of a heavy linen on a simple design looks fantastic – the fact that it’s a natural fibre as well makes it even more desirable. »

So sustainable….

SENNES is North and South, linen and wool, ecological and sustainable, tradition and innovation, natural and urban, a new experience with old knowledge, silent exclusivity and pure distinction.
The brand initiated early 2010, when designer Nele De Block was introduced to one of the last remaining traditional wool producers of the Serra da Estrela region, the highest mountain and protected nature reserve of Portugal. It was the start of a creative partnership to create a socio-economic and environment-friendly company between a Belgian textile designer and a Portuguese textile producer. Both bring their knowledge for textiles and sense for style & quality. SENNES looks for the perfect balance between heritage know-how and innovative research. All SENNES items are conceived and manufactured between ANTWERP (BE) and the SERRA DA ESTRELA (PT).
Inspiration is found in the co-relation between linen and wool
The collections S01-S02-S03 are consisting mainly of travel bags, handbags, accessories and outerwear for both men and woman; SENNES finds itself on the frontier between craft and design. Every product has a symbolic name, taken from the journey, as learning a new language with other emotional and cultural values. Bringing an authentic product to another context; adapting to change.
For COLLECTION S01 and S02, color is mainly based on the natural range of colors of the wool. The color range goes from bleached & ivory white, to warm neutrals: taupe, chestnut brown & anthracite grey to deepened black.
