Founded in 1867, the family-run business Rivolta Carmignani is also the first company in Italy to receive OEKO TEX® standard 1000 certification: the label for environmentally sound and socially responsible production conditions.
Whether it’s top-end bed linens, table linens or bathroom textiles for exclusive contract clients such as hotels, spas, restaurants etc., all the linen collections meet the most stringent demands in terms of quality, tailored service and design. Thanks to the selection of raw materials, such as high quality flax yarns, and to the expertise of the 120 employees from weaving to processing and finishing right through to making up and embroidery.
No wonder then, that Rivolta Carmignani is a founding member of Club Masters of Linen. Launched in 2012, Club Masters of Linen is the distinction for « 100% Made in Europe » innovation and excellence, with controlled traceability from fibre to yarn and fabric.
According to Dr. Aldo Rivolta, Vice-president, this OEKO-TEX® standard 1000 certification makes sustainable processes and social working conditions transparent to the client: « We do not simply offer our clients products that enable sustainable usage through a good price-to-performance ratio and excellent performance characteristics. They can now also be confident that the items have been produced under sustainable conditions. »
Production processes are continually optimized, and the most efficient machines ensure high productivity, as well as saving energy and other resources. Aldo Rivolta goes on to say: “We have also installed our own photovoltaics plant with a top performance of 190 kwP, which enables an up to 20 % energy saving and CO2 emission savings of 115 tons per year. And we benefit from certification to OEKO-TEX® standard 1000, as we are able to organise our production processes even more efficiently than before based on the standard.”
