The winner is… LINEN ! Le 10 décembre se tiendra le banquet des Prix Nobel. A cette occasion, ce sont plus de 60 tables recouvertes de 470 m de lin et décorées de 7000 pièces de porcelaines et 10 000 pièces d’argenterie. Bravo à Klässbols, l’entreprise suédoise qui les fournit chaque année et qui rejoint les membres de la CELC et du CLUB MASTERS OF LINEN.
Ce linge de table, typique de la tradition Klässbols, a été créé en 1991, tout spécialement pour le 90ème anniversaire du Prix Nobel. Le choix de la designer, Ingrid dessau s’est porté sur un satin de lin gris argent de très haute qualité. Le motif de tissage apparait lorsque les lumières frappent directement la surface des tables. Nobel Banquet

Nobel – timeless beauty
The Nobel tablecloth and napkins are typical of the craft tradition at Klässbols and was designed especially for the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in 1991. Textile designer Ingrid Dessau chose to make the tablecloth in satin with coarse, silver-grey linen yarn of the highest quality.
The classical woven check pattern appears when the light is reflected differently by the surfaces of the weft and the warp.
The napkins are woven in damask with thinner contrast threads of semi-bleached line yarn – the perfect complement to the beautiful tablecloth. If your dream is to attend this dinner, just pretend. The collection is available on the website.
