British designer Emily Burningham uses linen and linen blends for her textile collections of prints to complement traditional interiors and to add a fresh, vibrant statement to a modern setting. Graduating in ceramic design at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, Emily went on to work as a surface designer applying her style to textiles, ceramic decoration and interior design.
Emily’s latest collection is inspired by the flowers and plants of English and Far Eastern gardens, as Emily says; ‘’Japan with its fascinating culture and history has a strong influence on my designs. The boldness, simplicity and use of colour in Japanese textiles inspire a great deal of my work”. Emily’s textile collection can be found at many specialist showrooms including Liberty of London and Borderline at Chelsea Harbour.
