PARCOURS: Jean-Paul Knott grandit à New York où il rejoint la Fashion Institute of Technology. En 1985, il débute sa carrière professionnelle par un stage chez Krizia à New York qui s’ensuit d’un stage chez Yves-Saint-Laurent. Il devient rapidement assistant-styliste et enfin styliste pour la ligne YSL Rive Gauche en 1996.
En 1999, il fonde sa propre marque. Sa première collection féminine est lancée en 2000 à Paris, New York et Bruxelles. Rapidement salué et reconnu pour la pureté et la modernité de ses créations, il devient directeur de la création chez Krizia puis chez Louis Féraud, dessine une collection pour Dim Beautiful People , imagine un concept de « chemises-poèmes » avec Esther Henwood ou signe une chambre pour le Royal Windsor de Bruxelles. Il est ensuite Directeur Artistique de Cerruti et signe une collection chez les 3Suisses en 2009. Aujourd’hui, il fête les 10 ans de sa marque.

CAREER: Jean-Paul Knott grew up in New York where he joined the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 1985, he began his professional career with an internship in Krizia followed by an internship at Yves Saint Laurent. He quickly became an assistant designer and stylist for YSL Rive Gauche in 1996.
In 1999, he founded his own brand. His first womenswear collection was launched in 2000 in Paris, New York and Brussels. Rapidly welcomed and recognized for the purity and modernity of his creations, he became creative director at Krizia and at Louis Feraud, designed a collection for Dim Beautiful People and imagine a concept of « poems-shirts » with Esther Henwood and designed a room for the Royal Windsor Brussels. He was then Artistic Director of Cerruti and deisgned a collection for 3Suisses in 2009. Today, he celebrates the 10 years anniversary of his mark.
